The Tunze Comline DOC Skimmer 9001 DC is quiet and generates a very large volume of small bubbles for efficient skimmer operation. It operates stand-alone without needing any additional equipment (feed pumps, etc) and mounts to the tank via a convenient magnet holder strong enough for glass up to 3/8" thick. The DOC Skimmer 9001 DC is designed for use inside the aquarium or the back compartment of the aquarium.
It is often used in the middle compartment of Coralife LED BioCube 32 Aquarium . To use in a BioCube 32 you will need to remove the media basket. You can use the InTank LED BioCube 32 Media Basket in the middle chamber of a BioCube and still have enough space for the DOC Skimmer 9001.
The Tunze Comline DOC Skimmer 9001 DC offers the same characteristic features as the Tunze Comline DOC Skimmer 9001 , but is additionally equipped with the Electronic Foamer 9004.040, a controller and a power supply. The performance of the skimmer can easily be adjusted using the power regulation on the controller. There is a special "œcup cleaning" button to execute the cup cleaning process. It switches the pump off and on again, so that the cup can be removed from the aquarium without bubbles. The foamer will automatically switch on again after approx. 10 minutes, if the pump has not already been activated again through a repeated manual actuation of the "œcup cleaning" button. If the foamer is stopped, the air jet will be rinsed. This significantly extends the maintenance intervals of the device.
