The ista Max Mix CO2 Reactor Medium is for diffussing CO2 into planted tanks. The Reactor requires a water source, such as the return on a canister filter, and a CO2 source. There is no CO2 loss in this system. Inside the reactor, the CO2 bubbles are broken down constantly until they ´re completely dissolved into the water. When using regular (ceramic plate) diffusers, there is loss when the CO2 bubbles reach the water surface. It is recommended you use the ista CO2 Bubble Counter (2 in 1) with this CO2 Reactor.
